I truly apologize for the loooooong hiatus I took after my last post about The Namesake. First, I went to Germany and Austria for a week. It was such a great trip, and on the second to last night, my boyfriend proposed. So, now I am engaged! Since everyone who reads this knows me personally, they know this about me. But, I hope that someone out there finds my blog appealing, and will start getting to know me this way. So, now, for all of you who didn’t know, I am engaged, and thoroughly excited about it.
After getting engaged, I found a job as a sales rep. It took up all my time, and I didn’t make a whole lot of money, but it paid the bills. This is all past tense because I left today. I learned about myself that I have thicker skin than originally thought, and I know I can do anything well from here on out. I also believe in signs, and there have been several this week.
I moved to an apartment in La Verne with fiancee because it was close to my job and his school. So, needless to say, I have been quite busy, and reading hasn’t been a top priority. Nor has writing. I did finish reading Geraldine Brooks’ People of the Book, and I have a list of books awaiting me. For my mental health, I will make time for reading and writing as I move forward in life. And I am back from my hiatus.
