Life as I Know It

Ok, so I got a full-time job, right? And I was working at BN, and was very happy. I loved the people I worked with. It was a great company.

But the day after I started, literally, my second day, I got a call that I got a job in what I wanted to do. It would set me toward the career path I want, the job I have been applying for for over a year. Kind of crazy. And there I am, on my lunch break from a great job, being offered something completely different and exactly what I want.

What was I supposed to do? I took a day to think about it, discussed it with literally everyone, and made a decision. And I took the job. I couldn’t be more excited. But then I had to tell my current employers. I talked with my boss, and kind of blurted it out. I could tell she was disappointed, but she was so unbelievably understanding. And they didn’t fire me on the spot, thank goodness.

So, I’m on my second day of my little vacation, getting prepared for my new job and the start of a very exciting summer. It’s been a long road getting here, but I am so glad I didn’t give up. Every time I got a rejection, I wanted to cry, go back to school, and figure out something else, until the next day when I applied for seven more jobs in this industry.

I feel like life is starting again, and I have a great adventure ahead of me. Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
