30 Day Book Challenge Day 2

Day 2- A book that you’ve read more than three times.

As a kid, I re-read books much more often. Today, I find that there are so many books to read that I don’t get to go back and catch new things after a second read or third read. I’m trying to avoid repeating myself over the next 29 days, so a book that I have read over three times is Number the Stars by Lois Lowry. I’ve read it four times, actually, but I would gladly go back and read it one more time.

I just loved this story. It was one of my first forays into historical fiction, and I have loved the genre ever since. I love the bond between Annemarie and Ellen. And I liked the perspective of the war from a young girl’s eyes. I most recently re-read it when I bought a copy for my niece. But I couldn’t read the new copy. I had to read the tattered and frayed red copy that still lives in my childhood bedroom, because isn’t that just what you do?

Is there any book you’ve read more than three times?
